2 Entirely Different Worlds

what Life is all about…

2 Entirely Different Worlds

The Spiritual world (and the spiritual world…there are two entirely different worlds, you know) is something special. Much fellowship with God will bring much revelation from Him about His world (and the enemy’s world…notice little “s” in 2nd world mentioned above?).
It is interesting to observe how much time one has spent in fellowship with God…

manna on the ground

what Life is all about…manna on the ground.

I am re-reading Major Ian Thomas’ The Saving Life of Christ for the umpteenth time, and he makes a point in the 6th chapter about “manna on the ground.” Except for the fact that he misses the point of the correct makeup of a Saint (biblical trichotomy)…which frustrates me a bit when reading his writings, he is one of my favorite writers. Got to meet him back around 2000, and hear him, at Grace Church in College Station.
Thomas makes an incredible connection of manna on the ground with the presence of God, His still being present with the Israelites even though they were faithless, disobedient, and disrespectful to God. If you can find this book, it will be well worth it to read chapters 5-8, even though other chapters are great in many ways.
No wonder we are reminded in Hebrews 13:5, “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” God having given that message to us in various ways in Genesis 28:15; Deuteronomy 31:6, 8; Joshua 1:5; 1 Chronicles 28:20; and Psalm 37:25.
Everywhere I look, no matter where I am, I see manna on the ground. Hallelujah!

Lack of teaching on trichotomies

Absent from this blog for a long period of time due to work on getting a book printed...but, I'm back.

Something came up recently that has led me to think that my diagrams of the trichotomies of Lost man and Born Again man do more than I expected to explain WHY so many Christians do what they do...not because of the "makeup" of Christians, but because of the lack of teaching on the "makeup" of Christians. If a Truth is not known, there can be little expectation of someone using that Truth.

Let me give an interesting illustration before making the crucial point of this writing...

Suppose you are concerned about your safety within your home. If your home has doors, but you did not know that, how likely would you be concerned about keeping the doors shut? Or, if those doors have locks, but you did not know that, how likely would you be concerned about keeping the locks on the doors in the position of "locked"? Take it a step further, if you have two or three guns in your home, but you only know of the pellet gun being there (yet there is also a handgun and a shotgun), how likely would you be concerned about having the latter two handy for use in defending yourself? Do you see the point I am making?

Let's move to the Spiritual. Christians have two minds. The natural mind each is physically born with. AND, the Mind of Christ which came with the New Birth (when Born Again).  IF a Christian does not know they have two minds, would they be likely to draw upon the Mind of Christ if they do not know it exists in their being? What mind is this Christian going to use day in and day out, in ALL instances (in the world, in the church, etc.)? They will use the natural mind.

Sad, isn't it? Almost unbelievable, isn't it? Critical, isn't it?

Think about all the ways Christians interact at church. Why all the arguments over the color of the carpet in the sanctuary? Why all the battles over the church budget? Why the animosities over someone sitting in "my seat"? Can we begin to see how and why this creates problems that should be minimal instead of almost innumerable? Now...I will let you think of more personal issues that are existing and complicated by this lack of teaching, therefore lack of knowledge. Think about how that relates to Hosea 4:6 in today's lives of Christians.
